Quality Dental Care of Lakeland
A Great Dentist

Technology

At Quality Dental Care, we only invest in new technology when we know that it will benefit your care by delivering more predictable outcomes or when it helps educate you about your oral health and the need for treatment. Please take a moment to browse through some of the state-of-the-art technology we use and how it benefits you.

Intraoral Cameras

How many times have you had a visual dental exam and wondered what it is that your dentist sees when they look in your mouth? We've solved the mystery at Quality Dental Care by using intraoral cameras that illuminate the inside of your mouth and let you see what we see.

The camera is a small, pen-sized instrument, and as we direct it over your teeth, the images appear instantly on your chairside monitor. Seeing is believing, and you no longer need to guess what your dentist is talking about when discussing the need for treatment. These images also become a valuable part of your patient record so we can refer to them as necessary to monitor conditions.

Digital X-Rays

While dental x-rays are an essential diagnostic tool, we understand that many of our patients are concerned about unnecessary exposure to radiation. One of the reasons we've chosen to invest in digital x-rays is that they reduce your radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent compared to traditional film-based x-rays. And you can rest assured knowing that at Quality Dental Care, we only take x-rays as needed for prevention and to diagnose any problems that occur.

But the digital x-rays offer additional benefits because they allow us to:

  • Detect decay and gum disease in their earliest stages when they're still easy to treat
  • Educate you about your oral health and why we recommend treatment
  • Protect the environment because we don't need to process films and use harsh chemicals
  • Access your information quickly and send to specialists or insurance companies as necessary
